The Kerrisdale Co-ed Basketball
League was started officially in 1998. It has since grown from 6
to 34
teams. The players come from all around the Greater
Vancouver area. The league is more competitive today than it was in the
past, but the foundation of fun and sportsmanship has remained.
Our league has a unique set of rules, which do not require
referees. Although we do have score clocks and time keepers,
the players essentially manage their own games, which seems to
work very well.
There are two or three divisions (depending on
Fall or Spring season) spread over three
facilities. Kerrisdale Community Centre is our main facility,
but with the growth in the league we have adopted Kitsilano
& Sunset Community Centres as well. There are typically two
seasons per year. The first season starts in September and ends
in approx. Feb. The second season starts after the first season ends and
lasts until early June.

perhaps coordinate an intra-city game at some point.
